This opaque black shade holds layers of legacy. I first used it on the iconic R&B group TOTAL for their debut album cover — a photo shoot that would change my career.

That was the day I met the legendary photography team GUZMAN. From that shoot, they booked me to design nails for a limited-edition Louis Vuitton handbag campaign.

I created nails that matched the handbags — linking nail art to high fashion and luxury branding on a global scale.

That campaign made nail art history, and this color was the start of it all.

This deep, opaque, high-gloss black isn’t just a color — it’s a symbol. The acrylic powder, numbered 2009, commemorates the year Barack Obama was inaugurated as the first Black President of the United States .
